Statistics of the Battle
The graph below shows the statistics of the Battle of Chancellorsville. Despite being outnumbered 2-to-1 by the Union troops, General Robert E. Lee triumphed, making this battle considerable as the Confederacy's best military success during the Civil War. Although he led a great victory, the Confederates paid a price. The loss of Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson was a powerful one.
